Carte-de-visites

Created in April 2024. The final outcomes display tannin-toned cyanotype contact prints, featuring performative images of a self-directed model and vector graphics of an elusive ‘soul'. Later embroidered by the model to express their own ideologies in their chosen medium. Inspired by historic carte-de-visites to explore ideas of conformity and self-expression.

The Observer Effect

Created in late 2023. A series of darkroom prints which take a playful approach to the Observer Effect. The phenomenon in which the act of observation alters the behavior of the particles being observed.

Minutia

Created between January and March of 2024. Experimental images created when hypothesising possible psychadelic album covers for Pink Floyd. Created using a synergy of digital and analog techniques including: Chemigrams, Film Soup, Microscopy and Vector graphics.

Projections

A limitless dance, no urgency in its melody. It spirals in amber rivers and crashes at our feet. Misty in roots, transcendent of names, dates and other wordly attempts to control it. We accept it. No doubt in its rhythm; it lays to rest in a muddy field, inside the hollow branches of the crusty tree.
